Singleness…
To many, the word single means alone. One. Individual. Lonely. Without a partner, just you. Maybe so, since being single is living your life on your own. No strings, no responsibility beyond yourself, free. However, there are cases where committed people live the single life too. Some call it marriedly-single, or single yet committed. Funny how it sounds but it happens. It happens for many reasons. Familial is one for the marriedly-single (which are usually the moms); they had to be apart for the sake of the family, or at some point for the career growth of dads. What happens is you live as a single person, do the house chores, kids, domestic stuff, be mom to kids, and still a wife in status but not a wife to him cos he’s too far. Thus makes you marriedly-single. You devote your time to the household things. Give your all even the time for yourself because you do the job for two; a mom and a dad, into one.The question lingers… how about ME? Will it be selfish to think of myself for once? Why is it that when marriedly-single moms try to focus a little on themselves, she is tagged as uncaring? Selfish. Why do the family sees only what she do for herself, and yet take for granted what she does to all? Sounds unfair to moms and yet it was embraced by the society.
Let’s hear them out, let’s talk some more. Will post again.
Try to enjoy your life too.. its there for u..
